I'm relatively new to Arlington and Screwtop has quickly become my favorite local spot! I frequently stop by for dinner and wine flights and have consistently been impressed with the excellent wine, food and knowledgable staff. I'm also a member of the wine club and cannot recommend it enough for any fellow winos! Each month we receive two high-quality red wines and a cheese for pairing - this is great for anyone who, like me, struggles to pick out wine on their own but wants to be a bit adventurous! Additionally, this past weekend my boyfriend worked with the owner, Wendy, to plan a surprise birthday party and it was such a memorable evening! They hand-selected wines for the flight and customized the entire experience. Thank you to the entire Screwtop team for hosting an excellent event!

Screw You Wine Bar is one of our go-to spots in Arlington. They have a great wine selection and the Detox Salad is always fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a date night or a relaxed evening out. Definitely recommend making a reservation-it’s a popular spot for a reason.

Love this place!! The vibe and the extensive wine and drink list were PERFECT for our Girls Brunch. I had the Mimosa & Expresso Martini, and to eat the Saganaki Shrimp which was a tasty small plate. I can’t to return to try their Wine Flights & more of their wines!

I had never been to a wine bar before. In fact, I felt a little out of place until the friendly staff made me feel welcome. They all seem to love their jobs and they love to teach you about wine. Wine flights are a great way to enjoy and compare several different wines to see what it is you like and don’t like. They have an extensive wine list and a full kitchen with some unusual flavorful offerings. Sitting at the bar is the most entertaining unless you have a bigger group. For six or more you can reserve one of two tables off to the side of the store which is away from the noise of the bar. (Or outside seating when it’s warmer). We enjoyed flights of Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc. We had a delicious cheese plate, spicy empanadas, savory Tuscan chicken flatbread, olives, almonds and corn nuts. Our waitress told us about our wines and answered all of our questions. She even brought us free samples of their frozen white wine and strawberry icy drink to try. This is a great place to hang out, drink wine, eat good food, and converse with friends. It’s also a wine and cheese store, so you can bring home what you like.

Screwtop has been a favorite for years! Not only is the wine great, but the food is amazing (hello, best nachos in the DMV) and the service is so friendly. Being part of the wine club has also been a blast - it's educational and provides a great community event to look forward to monthly! Linda and the team have done an awesome job keeping Screwtop a key part of the neighborhood and I recommend it to anyone looking for a great spot for drinks, brunch, snacks, lunch or dinner!

Nice spot for wine, both to sit down and drink there or to take home. Stopped by for happy hour and had two glasses of wonderful wine. Didn’t eat but the food looked great. They have a great selection. The staff was knowledgeable and very friendly in their service.

Such a cozy and welcoming spot! The food is amazing, and they have a great wine collection. I also love that they host fun events from time to time, which makes it a really lively and inviting place to hang out. Definitely a neighborhood gem!

Screwtop is one of my favorites in Arlington! Great food options, my favorite is the grilled cheese. The staff is awesome, always friendly and ready to help me find new wines to try. I would also suggestion asking about their wine club, I've been a member there for years.

Had a great time with friends here! Pick a table and you can order from your phone. The place is beautiful, lots of wine options, very lively in there. I ordered a grilled cheese to pair with my Mexican wine flight. They bring a sheet that explains each wine and they tell you where to start and which direction to follow. I love a wine flight because it lets you try different wines before committing. I’m sure if you needed help deciding a glass to have, they would assist. Cute spot!

Screwtop Wine Bar in Arlington is the perfect local gem for catching up with friends over an expertly curated wine flight. The atmosphere is impressively laid-back and welcoming, making it easy to explore new labels without any pretension. While the wine is the main draw, the food holds its own—specifically the nachos, which were absolutely divine 🤌🏼 and elevated the entire tasting experience.
